To answer your question those "hydraulic" lines are actually air going to/from the intercooler. They just weren't very creative when they went to mount the IC and run the hoses for it.

Yea old news I even posted about cars like these a long while ago. As for the Hydro lines, those are Oil cooler lines. Why the style of loosely putting them out there I don't know. As for the car styling it all stems from their aneme cartoons and what not. It doesn't matter if it works, it just needs to look cool... to a 5 year old.
