So I am trying to fix the slop in my steering wheel, I have replaced tie rods, redid bushings, tighted up the steering box, and i have isloated it down to the steering column.

I have been reading that on the 89 bronco's there is a metal clip that holds the steering column pieces together near the rag joint to eliminate slop between the two shafts. Looking on my bronco it appears it has broken off, or not replaced when the previous owner had done work on the truck.

The question is....where do I find one? is it something that I can even get anymore?

Its looking like I have two options if I cannot locate one. Tap and tread the steering shaft to put in a lock bolt, or replace the shaft with a new one from bronco graveyard (to much $$$)

Thanks for the help and advice.
