Just curious how many of us were or are in the military, and where have you been and of course lets see pics!!!

I did for VERY uneventful and boreing years in the USMC even if I reinlisted I COULD NOT get a job change so I got out and went and joined the Foreign Legion and loved it!!! I wound up spending 10 years in it. Here are some pics from Central Africa and Ex Yugoslavia I spent about 3.5 years in those 2 places and was in several other places where we weren't allowed to take cameras and weren't supposed to be!

I'm USAF AMMO...been in for 17yrs. I've been deployed to Saudi, Egypt, Kuwait and Diego Garcia (awesome vacation) with some other stops along the way. Stationed in Germany, Okinawa, Wyoming, Korea and now in South Dakota. I'll have to dig up some pics. Later

Did 8 yrs in the army as a light wheeled vehicle mechanic. Worked on about anything with wheels. Stationed in Missouri, Virginia, Georgia, and Germany. Been out now for 5 years and am an engine mechanic on heavy lift helicopters. I'll try to dig up some pics...

and currently at Hanscom AFB, MA

4 Years in the Navy.

Stationed in Great Lakes, Ill, San Diego and Long Beach.

Been all up and down the West Coast, Victoria, B.C., Hawaii, the PI (before it got closed), Singapore, Bahrain, Dubai, Diego Garcia (for 6 hours), Australia, and Fiji.

It was fun, but I never regretted getting out.

I came in the Army as a 92G....Death from within!!!!

I'm at my first duty station at Ft. Lewis, and have already been deployed to Afganistan within the first 6 months of my enlistment, but it's good to be home now.

Im (medically) retired from the 29th ID(L), 1/116. Been Infantry all my military life. The above are my best training pix, Ft.Irwin CA. My first 6 years was in the line, that first 4 I was a 60 gunner, then a 203 gunner. My last 10 years I was in HHC Support Plt., transportation, ammunition, fuel, etc, but we still stayed in the bush with the grunts, just a different grid.

Now, Im a "Drill Sgt" at the juiv. detention center, I just moved up after almost 3 years of being a "corrections officer" on the pre-disposition pods. :thumbup (Im waring my 3 color desert BDUs as I write this).

Air Force 16 years, been stationed at Offutt, Elmendorf and Fairchild. I'm currently in Kuwait for another 17 days.. can't wait to go home :rockon Been deployed to alot of places.

I've seen most of the Air Force cops carrying the M-4 here but thats about it. Looks like a much better choice if you stand around for hours on end, it looks much lighter.

USAFR for 4 years now, 908th MXS, Maxwell AFB, AL. Though 3 of my 4 years has been on AD in various forms, ADT was the first year then the next two were in contingency and deployed for OEF/OIF.

Been to Shepherd AFB, TX, Little Rock AFB, AR, Andrews AFB, MD, Warner Robbins ARB, GA, The Azores, Souda Bay Crete, spain for about 1 hour, Al Udeid AB, Qatar, Romania (1 hourish), Troon Scotland, St. Johns Canada.

FSB treated me well when i was deployed (ignore my jacked up goggles)

Completed four years for service to my country.
My grandfather was in the Army, my father in the Navy.....myself Airforce were I then had the oppurtunity to become a Currior for the Defense Dept. worked alone in the field could not take pics..... would not trade it for anything....worked in the Philippines, Korea, and Japan...
