I'm thinking about doing a shackle reversal on my F-150, but want the least lift possible because the truck is already much higher in the rear than in the front. I'm looking for more travel, not particularly more lift.

If anyone has done a shackle slip while retaining a near-stock ride height, let me know.

Why not? I can weld perfectly fine and have decent fabrication skills. From the looks of it, I was thinking I might be able to keep the amount of lift under 3" if I was careful.

Mount/weld the shackle hanger higher on the frame or custom make your own hanger. Remember 2" higher only means 1" shorer as you have to divide by two since you are only moving one end. You could move both ends. I moved my hangers as far back as I coudl to extend the wheel base a bit, about 2"s.
