Yeah I've seen the blizzards and stuff on the news over here but was not sure what states were effected. Wonder if thats why its taken UPS a month to get a package of mine from New Orleans to Miami??

Made it to the Garage today. My Son chipped Ice all day wile I tried to get stuff done.
Loaded the engine to take off to work.
Started to fabricate the snow plow / winch mount in the front! The uprights are plywood that I am using to make sure the brackets are parallel and square to each other and the frame. Not much progress but we are moving forward.
Engine is cleaned ready for teardown! Rather than working on it at lunch time I went and looked at a parts unit. Found a much cleaner then mine 1986 Bronco 302 FI with OD. All the parts look to be in good shape, at least the stuff that I will need to finish up mine. The tub looks to be in great condition compared to mine but the Bronco doesn't have a title. it will work for Parts! Doors, Fenders, Hood, Inner fenders, Wire Harnesses, Dash, Tailgate, all look good. I'll post up pictures when I go get it!
1 hour into it so far, engine is a rebuild from someone, I have the serial number from the rebuilder and I am going to do some research to find who rebuilt it. It is covered in the melt tabs that rebuilders always use to prove the engine has been overheated, They have all been melted out..... Going to Turn the frame over tonight and do some more welding!
This is the game changer....., I have came up with a new plan. Finish my frame and set this body on it, after the interior has been removed and taken care of like I had planned to do with patches. Then with all the left overs I plan to build a mean woods buggy.
That chassis looks the business Mongo. Nice job cleaning it up buddy. How you gonna mount front radiator support around the winch? Cut and weld round winch then new mount points on the frame? Really like the idea of setting the winch back in snug. I have another truck am looking at doing same thing to so keen to see how you do it so I can burgle some ideas .
Oh and that red truck looks nice. If you wanna pop that rear tailgate gate chrome panel off, pop it in an envelope and chuck it in the post to Upper Hutt New Zealand I'll buy you a beer next time I see you :toothless.

Ha ha, you know I was walking through my local junk yard a couple months back and I saw a Bronco about your year had just came in. I was thinking about you guys down under and figured I get some parts. Looked inside and it was gutted. No seats, no headliner, no steering wheel, not even the dash. I though, I guess I won't tell them about this. But I didn't even look at the gate. It was down. Think the piece would fit in carry on? I still saving for my trip down there. How much money is in a 5 gallon jug full of coins? (Lots of silver)
Spent another weekend hacking away at the frame, almost ready for paint! We test fit the winch and the rad support! Feels good to see how it all fits together!
I found my Bronco in the summer of 2011 on a local classifieds website, and immediately reached out. At the time, I was driving an '82 Toyota pickup which I rebuilt during high school. It was a fun little machine, but I had always liked Ford trucks, and was itching to get a full size Ford like...
So wasn't too sure where to post this since I don't have the comment karma to post in the normal forums.
Bought a used 78 for a decent price wanting to restore it. Had a burnt battery and cables when I got it so couldnt get it to start. Fresh battery/cables later it cranked but kept stalling...

EDIT: There is a huge gap in time between this post and the next. I lost several photos and will likely not put them back. But that is ok, its like a TV show this way, where all the sudden its done ( well they are never done but further )
The truck went from being a cheap $1200...
As some of you know, I bought this clean '96 Eddie Bauer w/114K last fall for $3500. My plan was to retire (read:SELL) my old '93 and build a new truck to plow my road and play around with on the beach once in awhile. I took pictures as I went along meaning to do a build thread, (sorry) but...
I picked up an 89 302 4spd manual w/ a 6 inch suspension lift and 3 inch body lift currently sitting on 38.5x14.5x16.5 wheel/tires for a steal. I want to put together a reliable, capable, safe rig for taking my kids out on some trails, camping, and ocassionally the beach/dunes. I'm going to...
