THE 1-D-1 is to make these trannies hold 2nd gear since you cannot select 2nd.
Gack i know when mating a 351w to an aod you need a diff flex plate due to the different engine imbalances was it 56 oz 302 and 28 oz 351? or is it the other way round (or am i just wrong :toothless) i want to do a 351 swap i have a 90 302 aod setup thats got a bit of slapping sound when cold(piston slap i think) would it be noticable power difference between a stock 302 to a stock 351?

Gack, did you ever get to the dyno with the truck? I hate up bump a old thread, but im starting a similar build and looking for plenty of feedback.
Not yet.

At this point I still have it choked down for 19lb injectors. :cry

Im thinking 24's for a similar setup. Is that what you would switch to? I would appreciate it if you post a update if you do get some numbers in the future. I have experience with top end power turbo cars, but its a little harder finding feedback and results for half ton trucks built for bottom end tq.
