Are you doubting the wrenching prowess of the Big Blue? LolThis was the first time you rebuilt one?

I picture MoM doing this when I read that. This was the first time you rebuilt one?
ABSOLUTELY NOT... He's a wrenching GOD in my book 😁Are you doubting the wrenching prowess of the Big Blue? Lol
Whew!Noooo ....
🤔
I'd imagine they're the difference between serpentine and v belt. Blue showed me a pic of a serp set up and it was HUGE...I put a Saginaw on my 89, and the mounting bracket was significantly bigger than yours. A/C compressor mounted to the top of it. Very nice upgrade. Spun the 35s to wherever I pointed them, even on the rocks in Az.
I didn't really notice mine wasn't performing well until the redhead upgrade... Then it really became noticable it was tired... Who'd a thunk harder to steer meant bad ps pump... 😂 Seriously tho.. it wasn't squealing or even hissing bad at full lock but it wasn't coming back to center as snappy as I think it could and after the redhead the steering got tighter and made the problems all the more obvious... Then it started randomly leaking so... Buhby... Like I needed an excuse to do another upgrade 😏I need to rebuild mine and install the redhead on Shadowfax but the factory still runs well.? I loved it on my old Bronco but it had a screaming ford pump.
No, second time. The rear stud on my new one broke due to a backwards bracket, and i swapped one from a JY in without rebuilding it and it failed fast. Thus prompting me to rebuild it. The only "hard" part is a bearing sleeve in the snout that has to be pressed out. This was the first time you rebuilt one?
PTFE AN lines and fittings from summit. They aint cheap, even for house brand stuff. I have them on my setup too, with hydroboost, a filter, and a cooler. Though mine dont have the slick black hose ends, they as re just silver. At least I have the Redhead and Saginaw in the shed waiting. I just need to get those pretty hoses you have.
I dunno if it'll help at all since our rigs are different years but I can post a pic of the invoices from summit so you have a parts list for those pretty hoses and ends.. @BigBlue 94 would they be the same lines for mine and his?At least I have the Redhead and Saginaw in the shed waiting. I just need to get those pretty hoses you have.
Yep. Same exact parts. The pump itself is the exact same unit, just with a serp pulley and different bracket.I dunno if it'll help at all since our rigs are different years but I can post a pic of the invoices from summit so you have a parts list for those pretty hoses and ends.. @BigBlue 94 would they be the same lines for mine and his?
Sometimes it's about what you like not what you need 😉 but if you'd like to see the invoices I'm happy to post itSo my hoses should be good. I jusk kind of like pretty
For an 84 bronco with v-belts, you need to find a 75-84 econoline (75-87 for 351w and 460, 75-86 for 300 I6) in the junkyard. Pull the brackets and pump out as an assembly. Rebuild kits are 15 bucks, but you need a pulley removal/install tool. A standard high pressure hose for an econoline of said years is all you need to complete the install. That hose is identical for 302, 351, and 460. Then fill it with ATF and bleed the air out.:O Where can I get one of these? My power steering pump needed replacing before I bought the truck, I'm pretty sure it was put on with a hammer
That would be great. I have been giving Summit to much business lately. I need to work on combining y orders to avoid shiipping.Sometimes it's about what you like not what you need 😉 but if you'd like to see the invoices I'm happy to post it
LOL just bleed the air out he says???Then fill it with ATF and bleed the air out.
Yup. Ive never had an issue doing it, and my system has hydroboost, an FL820s sized filter, and a '96 C6 transmission cooler. Leave the cap off, turn lock to lock a few times, refill the reservoir, and repeat.LOL just bleed the air out he says???
