I guess its time to finally start a build thread on here. I always end up doing searches here for information, so now here is my build thread.

When I bought the truck, it was a 1995 F150, 2wd, with a 4.9L/m5od-r2 with an 8.8" with 2.73 gears and a 3" body lift. First thing I did was bought some used 32" buckshots.

6 months or so after that, I bought a used 6" ProComp lift with extended radius arms. When I swapped in the lift, I installed a d44ttb/8.8" combo with 3.55s. And scored some 36x15.50 Dick Cepek Mud Countrys on closeout through 4WP.

Then some KC Daylighters, 150w.

Somewhere in there, I swapped out my porno red interior for a perfect condition gray interior. As well as a factory tach.

Swapped in a 4x4 ZF5 I picked up at a junkyard, as well as a bw1356.

Got some beadlock rims in a trade, so I ordered a set of custom rings for them from Creative Engineering Offroad.

Then finally got to take it wheeling at K2 (Katemcy), where I messed up my steering and twisted my rear driveshaft.

Took the body lift off. And right now, its sitting outside with the bed pulled off, and the rear suspension being redone. I'm planning a flatbed for it, swapping in a sky-manufacturing shackle flip, 7" USDR custom shackles from DIY4x, 3" wide 4x4 leaf springs, and an 8.8" with a full carrier detroit.

Also have a bunch of parts to start on a SAS. Waiting on coil springs, and am saving up money to buy or build a set of extended radius arms.

Sounds like someone is just jealous that that don't have anything awesome, custom made, and one of a kind on their rig.

None of the girls around here are worth letting get near my truck. They've been brainwashed into thinking Dodge is the best thing ever. :barf

Bad thing is, is most of them have never even owned a pickup... Its just what they've heard from their guy friends who most have also never owned a pickup. Stupid girls. :smilie_slap

Little update on this. I'm finally getting to fly home from California on Tuesday, and I'm gonna start working my truck almost immediately. While I was gone, a buddy of mine picked up the leaf springs I needed. Also got my coils in the mail, the DOM for my steering and extended radius arms, all my heims, tube inserts, etc. Ordered me a RuffStuff diffcover for the 44, bought a solid diff cover off a buddy for the 8.8". Found a set of d44 chromos on craigslist that i'm picking up for about half price. Basically have everything I need for my SAS except the 1ton chevy TREs, and some steel for the track bar mounts, and transmission crossmember.

2.25" OD x 0.375" wall DOM for the radius arms with 1.25" heims.
1.875" OD x 0.188" wall DOM for the track bar with 7/8" heims.
1.625" OD x 0.25" wall DOM for the steering with 7/8"x18tpi tube inserts and 1 ton TREs for steering.

Quick update. Picked up my new-to-me rear leafsprings today. They're from a 4x4 F250. Since I know those are a little stiff for an F150, I'm removing half the leaf spring pack. I'm only going to run the 3 longest leafs. If that is still too stiff, I'll go down to 2, but I think I'll be fine with the 3. I'm hoping to have a flexy as hell suspension in the back with those, in combination with my shackle flip, and 7" long shackle.

I think if you look really hard down that tube you can see a Lone Star about halfway down.

What are you making? Is this for the steering?
In the pic of them leaning against the truck... The left piece is for steering, short piece is for track bar, and far right piece is for extended radius arms.

Can you get some more pics of the clearance between the transfer case and the front tank? Did you have to mod anything to get that setup to work? I know there is no such thing as a Reg. Cab, short bed, dual tank 4x4 from the factory, so I was just curious. Thanks! :thumbup

If I had an automatic, there is no way possible it would have fit. I had to bend up the lip on the edge of the gas tank. Every now and then it still rubs mainly when shifting, but when its just sitting there, I have about 1/4"-3/8" of clearance.

Made a little progress yesterday. Got one of the extended radius arms built.. (well, as far as I'm building it so far). I'm not gonna attach the heim until I figure out where my axle and new crossmember are going to be, so I can trim the DOM to the correct length. Will probably get my other one done Monday or Tuesday.

Also, my new RuffStuff diff cover is sitting at the post office. Got someone going down there to pick it up for me, since I'm out of town. Post office is SUPPOSE to be open until noon, but they duck out early a lot. I don't particularly want to wait until Monday to get the diff cover. I wanna get that sucker painted up today or tomorrow.

Got my diff cover in from RuffStuff today, as well as my 1 ton TRE tube adapters. Also got one spring pack painted up and put together. Its like 105 degrees outside, so I'm not working fast by any means.
