Can i get a favor real quick, Can someone go to the back of their Bronco really fast and take a quick fast measurement of the tail gate.

Width=

High=

Thickness= (rough measurement)


And does anyone happen to know if a standard 78-80's truck tailgate would fit on Bronco? Reason i ask is cause on my build (the one on sig) i used skins from a 78 truck but i want to use a bronco tailgate on it. not sure if the tailgate thickness will fit.

I do know the 78-80s bronco tailgates interchange ,and i know the Bronco skins match mine, just not sure about the fit into the truck

Just in case your wondering, "why the f*%K does this guy want a bronco tailgate on his truckbed". It's because i have plans to use the thickness/hallowness of a Bronc gate to inlay a propane BBQ grill

I believe in the past I have seen people use a F150 gate on the back of the bronco, but don't quote me on it

Swapping (t'gate differences between the years); "...Amazingly throughout the number of body style changes from 78 through 96, the tailgate remained nearly the same. You can swap tailgates between all of these years taking note of the following: I've broken down the 3 major changes into their respective years. 78-79 Type A; 80-82 Type B; 83-96 Type C; If your swapping within the same type it's just a direct swap. If swapping A & B you have to switch the glass and glass support brackets; If swapping B & C you have to switch latches and striker plates; If swapping A & C you have to switch the glass, glass support brackets, latches & striker plates..." miesk5 NOTE, The safety switch was moved from the center (tailgate handle) to the left latch by 1983 by Seabronc (Rosie, Fred W)
