I'd like to see more pics of fairly basic front bumpers like Dave Blue's:

I wanna do something like this, but I'm gonna remove the grille and sheetmetal under the headlights so it'll be built up a little higher, and the winch may be set back more where the grille would normally be.

Anyone?

OK. Here's there's the plan to build your bumper and cage in 1 shot.

12/13
- You and Tonya pack up your plasma cutter, some changes of undie's and your green hat and start the drive to Arizona
- Jer loads up his pile of parts and starts his drive to Arizona

12/14
- Nat rolls out of bed, brushes his teeth and starts the drive to Arizona
- We set up camp at Dougs compound, eat dinner and spend hours around a bon fire making fun of you for no piticular reason

12/15

- Mitch starts heading up from Tucson
- You gut the interior of your rig in preperation for Mitch's cage install
- Jer starts pulling all things related to a TTB axle off his rig using your plasma cutter and a grinder
- We put out our first shop fire of the day
- I spend the day installing Jer's gears
- Mitch shows up about noon and goes to the steel yard with Doug and Nat for supplies
- about 4 we do an all hands to Jer's truck to stuff the new front end under it
- we put out our 2nd fire of the day

12/16

- You and Mitch build your cage and re-install your interior
- Jer and Nat finish up Jer's front end
- We put out fire number 3 ... but the first for today
- I'll do the gear install on Jer's rear end

12/17

- You, Nat and Mitch start building your bumper
- Jer does any finishing touches
- I'll do the gear install on Mitch's 3'rd member
- we put the fire actually on Nat out with shovels and dirt

12/18

- Ya'll finish your bumper
- I build Nat's his 10.25 cover guard so he stop's nagging me
- Jer tries not to knock tools off the bench with his erection caused from having real front end
- Mitch installs his 3rd member then spends the rest of the day picking up the tools Jer keeps knocking off the bench

12/18

- All rigs that need it go to the alignment shop
- install your freshly built bumper
- Finish any outstanding project items
- drink heavily

12/19

- Dustin, Bud, Dave, Gearat, and the gang meet us at the trail head and we wheel the pi$$ out of our rigs

Hey....I can dream can't I? :D

Mine's not all that complex, but it does have plenty of features. Most of them could be omitted to leave a basic bumper. Skip the grille guard, push bumpers, storage boxes, & lights, and you'd have just a winch frame. :shrug

But what fun would that be? :goodfinge

What's a bumper for anyway? :goodfinge

Keith, now that you're the master of accordion frames, you gonna build me a bumper to? :thumbup
