My Highboy has a divorced 205. I want to swap out for a regular 205 because the divorced one hangs so low and, obviously, three driveshafts provide more potential problems than two. What potential problems would I have other than having to get new driveshafts? Would my Np435 need modifying?

adrianspeeder, I don't have any pics, but I'll see if I can get a few. Are you wanting to see a divorced case setup or just what it looks like in an f250?

I'm betting the output shaft of your transmission would have to be changed to marry the TC.

Also your frame is narrower than the F250s that come married TCs, if you have to change the trans mount it will have to be modified, it can be made to fit at all.

I picked up a T-18 tranny the other day and was thinking about using it in the Bronco but it's 2wd. What do you guys think about running a divorced t-case behind the T-18? is there room under there for that with the short wheel base on the Bronco? And what's a good donor for divorced t-cases?

sorry for the hi-jack... :chili:

i don't see there being enough room unless you run a very short driveshaft, and then lifted would cause evn more angles, IIRC on my old highboy i thought the divroced setup had around a 2 or 3 ft driveshaft between teh tcase and tranny.

My highboy has about 12-14" driveshaft, and the 2 we scrapped did as well, I've got a spare around somewhere. Dunno if It'll work in a bronc, but I am thinking about taking measurements and swapping everything into a bronco. Probably not at least until I get a few other projects done first. The donor vehicles are 73-77 "highboy" f-250's they come with 203's and 205's. Good hunting. Let us know how it works out.
