sorry to bump an old thread, but i dont see the point in creating a new one....i havent been able to find an 88 wiring diragram for the radio, and the listing above just doesnt seem right to me.
heres what i have on the one plug (the other has speaker wires only)
a solid yellow, a solid red, an orange w/ white stripe, a black (solid), a blue, and a blue with a white stripe. I have the chilton, but that doesnt help with radio wiring, any help that you guys can come up with is greatly appreciated.

New to the forums, thanks for having me!

Have a 1994 EB bronco, have power to the switched + from the key (yellow/black wire) but no power to the constant + (green/black wire) for the radio. all fuses are good inside and under the hood. Am I missing something? is there another fuse in/around the factory amp or somewhere else?

Thanks in advance for any replies! :thumbup

I see Black/LG from ign sw to fuse panel etc but no green/black
I see 2 fuses..
this is from 1996 F-150, F-250, F-350, F-Super Duty and Bronco Workshop Manual
Thanks for the reply and diagrams Miesk,

The wire is definitely Green w/ a black tracer. Is it possible that because this is the EB version that it could be different? the factory amp is against the fire wall above and slightly to the right of the gas pedal. The fact that I have no constant power to the radio, I see that it also feeds the amp, hence why the system is not working. I'll check the PD center under the hood and post back as to what I find.

Thanks again. :thumbup

Amazing what a wire diagram will do! It was the fuse in the PD under the hood.
thanks Miesk! Made my life way easier than chasing "air fairies" trying to diagnose the problem.

Cheers! :rockon

I know this post is old but if i could find it so can others. The speaker wire colors mentioned above is what i found searching the internet for a 1994 also. The colors listed above is not what my 1994 fsb xl had. Im talking about the front speakers. The post towards the top (along with internet searches for 1994) shows i should have blk/wht but i had a pink/orange iirc.

Just wanted to let others know the colors listed above show as correct for 1992-1996 if you google it but in fact their arent any blk/wht wire for the front speakers on my 1994.

Working on it steve. It would appear as though i have the colors for premium sound wiring even though i have an XL with a stock radio that didnt even have cassette, just am and fm. Im trying to figure out why this is the case before i post.
