Kind of a long one…I’ve been having a hard time starting the bronco lately, at first the tumbler was very hard to turn, but it would crank, then it wouldn’t crank, but if I would jump the solenoid from the battery + to the small S terminal on the starting solenoid it would crank and start no issue. I decided to look under the dash at my starting switch and the connector was loose and broken, I ordered a new ignition switch, new connector and new tumbler, got everything replaced, the tumbler not feels smooth and bounces back where as before it would get stuck in the start position, but I still can’t get the truck to crank….now when cut the connector I didn’t pay attention to what yellow wire(there’s 2) went where, but according to the diagram I found, both wires eventually become one???? Any help is appreciated as I honestly don’t know what would be my next move

When I replaced my ignition switch and harness connector my truck wouldn’t crank either. What I found was I had the wrong point of view when I pinned the connector. Details are fuzzy as it was almost five years ago. But when I repinned using the correct POV all was well.

It’s probably not that easy, but thought I would share.

Yeah I pinned the connector as it shows in the first diagram, but I haven’t doing any other version of it for my ‘90, I’m going to check the Mlps sensor next and see where it goes, unless I can’t find a different way to connect it

are you able to take a picture of your connector?
Thank you
