I have an 87 fsb with a 351 with a bad neutral safety switch. The replacements I have found only have a 4 pin connection. The one I took off has a 6 pin connection. Can anyone help?:whiteflag

yo,
What tranny?

If the shifter has a P-R-N-OD-D-1 pattern, the transmission must be an AOD

P-R-N-D-2-1 pattern is C 6

If it has an Overdrive Cancel Switch and a P-R-N-OD-2-1 shifter pattern, then it is equipped with an E4OD transmission

btw, This happens a lot because of the Ford catalogging issues and lack of info by the aftermarket in it's catalogs on-line.

you need the nss for a c6 with electric transfer case, I had the same issue.. Even though I have a manual shift TC.
yw,
Which part # did you get?

and thanks for getting back here w/da good result!
should be this part# or replacement for this part #
SW-2120

I went with a SMP NS92 from auto value.
would a bad neutral safety switch cause the reverse lights not to work?Mine don't work and someone told me change the neutral safety switch.
Yes, the circuit that turns on the reverse lights is controlled by the Neutral safety switch.
Would it also cause the fuel sytem to not ground?
Thanks, that saves me $90.00 I am getting power to the injectors but they don't pulse so i don't get gas. I've
replaced the eec, and the ecc Im tryin to figure out why the system doesn't work I know I have a short in some component
because both sided of the injector lead is hot... no ground.

The EEC is the ground. 12v is supplied to the injectors from the EEC relay and the EEC itself switches the ground to do the pulsing. The EEC isn't getting the signal to pulse the injectors.
Yeah i think i may have gotten a bad eec i got one from advance that is silver the one i took off was black would that make a difference?
