Folks,

I purchased a 96 Bronco with 128k...runs greats and shifts nicely. I am replacing most fluids (front/rear diff, oil, xfer case) now with Mobil 1. I have ordered the Helms Service manual, but still in transit.

The only problem I have so far is a "double clunk" from the driveline when stopping/starting. After reading numerous threads, it points me to greasing the rear slip joint. With 128k, I may as well replace all 3 ujoints and that CV centering ball.

I have 4 bolts for the rear axle and 4 bolts for the xfer case...no ubolts. In searching the threads, it appears the torque is 61 - 87 ft/lbs for the xfer case side, but unable to find the values for the rear axle bolts? I assume they are same as they appear to be the same size.

thanks

Having troubles getting the ujoints out...bent the c-clamp...heading over to Auto Zone for a ujoint/ball joint tool.

Still looking for the torque values though.

Thanks
