As a certified car nut I am proud to announce I just bought my first Bronco!! What a great truck! I bought an 83 XLT with 302 and C6 off EBAY - the truck was not expensive and the rust was free. It made the 2 hour trip home only overheating once--quickly cured by 3 gallons of mineral water from a local BP. Living in Michigan a 4x4 is a good idea, and a rusty one saves the stress of worrying about the effects of salt. I replaced all the belts, hoses, thermostat, water pump, alternator, and added a battery tray back where one used to be, and converted to electric fan. After fixing a few small vacuum leaks she runs great! The interior cleaned up really nice, and the radio even works. I already have a couple of tech questions I'll post in the forum, so I'll say thanks in advance for the help. Maybe I'll learn enough to contribute back before too long. I look forwar dto chattin' with all you guys.
