Hi Gents,

Our December issue is hitting the stands a little early and inside we've got an article detailing our 351 engine swap in our '93 Project Bronco, 'The Juice'.

Basically, our old tired 351 got replaced with a remanufactured long block from ATK Engines.

We were pricing out a rebuild with the original motor, but came to the conclusion that when time, money, and California emmisions standards were all factored in, the remanufactured engine is the way to go. ATK Engines all pass the certification that new OEM engines must pass, so we knew the engine would be good.

We threw on some shorty headers from Edelbrock as well.

Hope you get a chance to pick it up and read more about it.

(I think I'll post this on the main board for later model Broncos as well, the rest of the guys might be interested).

Ha--we are going to do that! He's been lagging on that thing, but talks about it every day. The problem is he wants to build it as a go-fast rig but the thing's got a solid front axle. You should hear the schemes he comes up with. Once we get our stuff togeher we'll be featuring the two vehicles side-by-side for sure.

Looking forward to the article.

Did you see the thread for the 2nd annual Broncospeed get together at Pismo? I know you guys dig the place too. Bring the Juice out for a Bronco dune blasting session. Jan 17 & 18.

...We did an article on the Fitch fuel catalyst in a recent issue, but Editor Jones called dibs on it and installed it in his Durango. Ended up getting him about a 20% increase in fuel economy. Pretty impressive I thought. I'd love one for the Bronco--we'll see if we can get our hands on another one.

That Pismo trip sounds awesome--if I can get things put together by that time (we've got the steering torn apart right now, as well as a few other things) I'll come for sure. If I can't get rolling by then, I'll meet up with you guys next chance I get. Can't think of anything better than hitting Pismo with a bunch of other Bronco guys.

That would be cool if you can make it. We had a good turn out last year. Hopefully the gas prices will stay low so people will have no excuses.
