Hello, this is Randy Growall. I have owned this 1996 Eddie Bauer since 1998, it has 240K and is in pretty good shape. IMG_20170420_121648.jpg

Yo Randy,
Welcome to our Big Bronco site!
It looks very good indeed.

Was speed control, if equipped, recall work completed by dealership?
"Summary: ON CERTAIN PICKUP TRUCKS, PASSENGER VEHICLES, SPORT UTILITY VEHICLES, AND MOTOR HOMES CHASSIS, THE SPEED CONTROL DEACTIVATION SWITCH MAY, UNDER CERTAIN CONDITIONS, LEAK INTERNALLY AND THEN OVERHEAT, SMOKE, OR BURN. THIS COULD RESULT IN AN UNDERHOOD FIRE."
To confirm current status, use this guide by jowens1126 @ https://www.fullsizebronco.com/foru...ruise-control-recalls-repair.html#post6530073
° note that the 93 recall is different than the 94-96 recall.

For any Bronco questions or to chat about it's planned modifications, it's better to post each seperately in Noobie Bronco Tech Questions. Flame free zone. This will get more attention and you can build up your post count to get into other sections such as Bronco and Ford Parts/Accessories (75 posts required to view).

Please fill out your Bronco Info with year, engine size, transmission type, transfer case type (manual or electric shift), locking hub type (automatic or manual) info & major mods such as a Lift, etc. for better responses.

Thanks for the info

Thanks for the info.
I am located in Oklahoma and was wondering if anyone knows of a shop within 500 miles that specializes in rebuilding Broncos? Engine, transmission, paint, interior, etc....
I have seen the great work that Lilly's Auto Restoration does near San Antonio, but they might be out of my price range, am going to call them.
I am getting ready to retire and want to get the Bronco where I can drive it to California if I wanted to, not that I would ever want to!
I know my mechanical limitations, and would never try to do this myself, not near that skilled.

Welcome to the site and congrats on owning a beautiful '96!

What upgrades exactly are you planning to do?
Sorry, missed your question. It has 250,000 miles, I am going to have the engine and transmission rebuilt, new 32x11.5x15 Goodyear Wrangler MT/R tires, new paint -same color, interior headliner and front seats, carpet, and some sound deadening work, new door weather strips, fix door rattles and put new window motors while I am in there, brakes, shocks, rear window guides and motor. New radio and speakers. That should eat up my budget.
