Hello Everyone,
I recently purchased a 1978 Ranger XLT in white and blue with a blue interior. It's all original paint and patina which I want to keep as is and I plan to restore the interior and update the engine. It was originally a Cali truck (rust free!) so it has all the original smog equipment still on it but based on the smell from the exhaust, my guess is none of it's working. I'll be hitting people up on here for the best vendors and places to get OEM parts.

Some of you may know me from the classic bronco forum and I still have my 69 Bronco that I'm almost done building (I've said that for a while now...but this time I mean it). I can't wait to tow the 69 with the 78 to local car shows!

I'll be posting more soon,

Order a Ford authorized repair manual other than the EVTM, either a Bishko or a Dave Graham from rockauto.com in Literature section or other source. If it's a CD, ask if it will run on your device.

For any Bronco issues or to chat about it's planned modifications or build, it's better to post each seperately in Noobie Bronco Tech Questions. Flame free zone. This will get more attention and you can build up your post count to get into other sections such as Build section that requires a 30 post count & Bronco and Ford Parts/Accessories (75 posts required to view).
