Introducing myself.
Bought an 86 Eddie Bauer edition sight unseen from eBay. Prob a big mistake.
Advertised as a rust free 100% original Bronco that everything worked.
Ended up having a repaint and not a great one. I will be spending a lot of time getting how I want it.
Windows don't work
Dents that were not mentioned and not pictured.
I am hoping to get some help from yall.
Hoping I did not make a huge error.
Going to get it as nice as possible.

Nope, you did well & the truck looks great. Think of it as, it's now only going to get better, assuming you dont beat it up offroading it. Paintless dent removal, and every part you can imagine is available to fix windows or whatever the truck may need. Welcome, good to see another 86 Eddie Bauer!!

Welcome! Nice looking Rig, I'd accept something as original if it even had a repaint...as long as it was a decent paint job. I too have an 86EB that I'm in the process of restoring. If i was you I would get a flashlight and look down in the cowl area (the grate under the windshield wipers) and see what it looks like in there. Mine was very solid when i got it, and i looked it over really good and was aware of one of the small rusty spots on the fender which resulted from the antenna being gone for so long, but i was really surprised when i found that my cowl area was rotted pretty bad and I had to do some major work to get that "repaired" im not going to say fixed because its a very difficult area to fix properly, but i hopefully got a 10 year repair in that area for now, maybe longer.

welcome to the FSB family @Gerk , don't know what paid for your Bronco but she looks to be in pretty good condition for the year. If she runs and drives well, those things you listed are minor issues..Enjoy.

Thanks for all of the kind words.
I will post up some pics.
She lived her whole life in AZ. When I crawl under, all sheet metal looks to in perfect condition.
Carbed 351 with 54,000 miles (Really hard to tell of odometer clicked over.)
Since I bought, I have totally gutted the inside.
Removed carpet. Cleaned all the AZ dust and sand out. The carpet will most likely be replaced
Sound deadened the floors
Bought a bunch of new parts. Dash, door panels, wheels, etc...
My biggest mystery is why the windows work occasionally. I think that might be a separate post down in the tech section as I see some strange wiring going on under the hood.
Trying for a very small lift. Having a hard time figuring the safest and smartest lift with the TTB suspension. Would love 2" in front and just " more in rear. That looks like it will level it more and give room for some 285/75r16s.
Will be doing some stereo upgrades as well.
I want this to be my daily driver. Driving my F450 dually around every day is nice, but not so much in the snow.

PICS To Come!!

Thanks again all

Being from AZ would instill quite a bit of confidence in it being rust free.
Windows could just be switches...if your bezels are in good shape you can add new switches relatively cheaply, but not sure that's your problem or not. If the front springs are original you might can get that 1-2" more in the front with just NEW factory height springs, it definitely brought the front of mine up significantly.
It being an EB edition, did you get NEW door panels or new to you door panels and if new (coverlay i assume) did you move your chrome and carpet over to the new one? Would like to see what that looks like.
Can't wait to see the pics.

Ive tested the switches and they are fine.
I think theres an electical mess that I will need to get into. Theres a single wire attached to the battery that seems to run the fuse panel. I need to run a 30-40 fuse or it will pop when I try to roll windows up or down.
I did get the coverlay door panels. I think they will look real nice. Don't want to install until I figure out windows. Dont like pulling off and on. Those tabs always seem to break
