Yesterday I had Midas put in the stock muffler and I had them add a stainless rolled tip.
When I got it home - I put on the new grill, headlights and headlight rings.
Also new Fuel Injectors and fuel pressure regulator.
I hear someone buys the old injectors, anyone have contact info?
I didnt get the dirt and bugs off as Im using it for a daily driver for work at a power plant right now, finally putting some miles on it.

yo MC,

looking good, as usual!

Did Midas use screws to mount the tip? If so, consider a heat resistant coating on the screw holes to prevent rusting...it may help extend the pipe's life span a bit. Same for muffler strap, bolts/nuts, etc.
Thank you miesk5 - No they welded it out.
Hey Question:
When I was in the grill area I took off the whole front plastic header piece (5 Radiator Grille Opening Panel Reinforcement 8A284)
and noticed a couple of OEM plugs on the drivers side outboard radiator support (8A927) they were capped off and all.
And of course I didn't take pictures.
What do you suppose they are?

As you can see I'm staying in a RV park here in Texarkana while I work during the week :)
Were they on the drivers side? Might be the outside temp probe for the overhead console.

Thanks Miesk5 = Awesome.

What does the running lamps connector do?
Oh - and I got 14.7 MPG this past two weeks going about 13 miles to work daily. So 26 miles round trip.
Just changed the injectors and Pressure Regulator. Should get better :rockon

yo, yw MC!
Daytime Running Lamp (DRL) System
The daytime running lamp system is designed to turn the high beam headlamps on, with a reduced light output, and without illuminating the high beam indicator lamp in the instrument panel (04320) when the following conditions exist:
The ignition switch lock cylinder (11582) is in the RUN position.
The parking brake is fully released.
The headlamp switch (11654) is in the OFF or PARK position.

and for posterity:
Before performing any lighting systems test, check that the battery is fully charged, that battery connections are clean and tight, and that burned out fuses and bulbs have been replaced. The low beam headlamps should operate correctly. If not, refer to Section 17-01. The daytime running lamp module is grounded through the low beam circuit while operating the high beam

---------

Removal
Remove screw retaining daytime running lamps control (15A272) to radiator support (16138).
Disconnect data link connector (14489).
Remove daytime running lamps control.
Installation
Follow removal procedures in reverse order.
Tighten retaining screw to 2.6-3.2 Nm (23-29 lb-in).
---------

Inspection and Verification
Verify the vehicle owner's original concern by operating the daytime running lamps to duplicate the vehicle owner's concern.
Inspect to determine if one of the following mechanical or electrical concerns apply:
VISUAL INSPECTION CHART
Mechanical
Damaged headlamps
Damaged connectors
Damaged ignition switch
Damaged daytime running lamp control module
Damaged parking brake switch

Yo,
My 96XL, bought new doesn't have the DRL Module, but has the connector.

Buy a quality switch and AVOID any made in China; had one fall apart in my hands recently.
