Greetings all, I’m Joe, from SoFL and I just bought, again, a 1989 Eddie Bauer Bronco. Raven Black, factory paint, clean car fax and Marti Report!! I’m the 3rd owner.

I say again because I owned a ‘88 XLT, bought in 1990. So I’m back in the Bronco game and will be learning all things Bronc from you knowledgeable fellow members!

Above pics are from driving her home. Stopped along the way to see the Blue Angels’ tribute flight to honor first responders.
It’s now at the mechanic’s, getting based line...new everything. Removed the side step bars. Side exhaust will be corrected and the quarter panel emblems removed.

Thanks everyone. Rims are 15X10”. American Racing Tire: 33X12.50X15”. She’s at the shop. Haven’t driven her with new shoes. She had a serious alignment issue, as I recall, typical for this era Ford.

Got to admit, was really looking for a K5 Blazer. My first financed (with a co-signor) car I ever bought, waaay back in ‘80. Paid her off while working part time and going to college too!!!

They seem to command a lil more coin than the 2nd and up Generation Broncs. I had an ‘88 XLT back then. Was a phenomenal truck. Pulled my 23’ 1979 Seacraft Máster Angler center console. Sold her for a brand new ‘97 Expedition....obeying “she who must be obeyed”! LOL. What a mistake. She’s here with me but man, I missed that Bronc!!!!

Here’s me, circa 1982, Cibie lights, BadCompany concert T-shirt, slim (aka Skinny Jeans today), Puma sneakers and the best friend I’ve had to date, Wolf, my long gone but not forgotten Alaskan Malemute.

BTW, I’m an old skool street racer back in the day. I “associated” with the off shore powerboat crowd....’cept they weren’t “racing”. But we did race, especially the Fort Lauderdale Boys, on the street. It was Miami Boyz vs Broward Boyz. 1969 LS6 Z/28 clone was my poison. I turned my own wrenches back then and still do today. Thanks

Where did the time go??
