Well finally got around to starting my half door projects (ya like I need them in Winter, well if you call 70 degrees in Jan. winter).

Passenger door complete (did not get time to photo drivers before chopping up)

cut the top frame off and center out.

filled the middle in...

grinded down and getting ready for bondo...

test fitting on bronco...

Body work is almost finished on the drivers door...will get pics tomorrow, and currently working on the quick release pins for easy swapping...

and kept the outer handle working...

will add more pics as I continue...

looks nice man! Just curious why ya bothered to cut the top off? I guess you don't need it, but it seems it would add to the structural support of the door?

Regardless I like it! I've been contemplating what I'd do for half doors, haven't pulled the door apart to look, but figured with a huge cutout like that ya wouldn't need the door to open except to take it off, so I may route the outside handle like yours to the inside of the door.

Meh just some food for thought

I thought about keeping the top frame (like Bronczillas) but figured some day I may remove the roof and go completely topless, also I kinda of modeled it after the door fillers you can get for the early broncos.

Thats the plan....messing with different pins from autozone it looks like the chevy replacement pins are just a little smaller in diameter and slide right in.:rockon
