i want to try to clean up the electricals in my engine compartment and swap in a alternator with a built in voltage regulator like on the newer style trucks and stangs......how can i wire it up so that it works fine without any problems?

not reinventing the wheel.....just wondering if you guys know any tricks to wiring up a newer style alternator to a older setup....a 85 bronco to be exact...since it has the seperate voltage regulator and the alt....i figured there must be a way just to use a alternator with a built in regulator

If you just want an internal regulator, use the 3G alt. There have been a few posts on this in the tech section.
