my buddys 95 5.8 wouldn't start today. Worked fine yesterday, and we couldn not figure it out. The dash is dead, and so is the radio. It will not crank over when you turn the key. If you turn the key on, nothing happens, except for the open door chime.

No fuel pump, no nothing.

Checked the ignition switch, and the battery, and all fusable links. There is power at the fuses, and the motor will turn over if you arc the starter solenoid.

All fuses are good as well as relays. We are totally stumped on this one.

battery is good, obviously, and all connections are clean.

i just had that happen on my 84 f150. it was the connection from the starter cylanoid to the main harnes. not the engaging wire but one that came of the positive post. it goes into a connector and comes out as 3 wires. in the connector is where it fries. did it on the 84 f150 and my 84 bronco. just a thought. also check the ground at the box.
