no headlights after 460 swap.

The headlights worked fine before. Then I pulled the 351 out like a year ago, so the truck sat for a while, but now that the 460 is in, I have no headlights, turn signals work and rear running lights work, no headlights, any suggestions? The firewall ground is attached to the bellhousing.

Check your rear harness..Under the bumper...Right where your trailer wiring harness would tap in...Pull the tape or cover...Most trucks I find have nasty weathered splice jobs...Exposed burnt wires touching etc....I also had to disconnect the bulbs on my side marker lights on the body...I had one blown glass bulb touching the body and screwing everything up....Chasing lights might be the thing I hate most to do and never get it right..Im off to do the brake lights on my 79...Someone tapped in with a toggle switch for the Reverse lights and I dont have any brake lights...Urrgggh..Well off to have fun.........
Check the high beam switch on the floorboard.
