I need help from the wiring gods...1990 302 Eddie Bauer model

My brake lights went out, but the turn signals work as well as the headlights/running lights.

Got a new brake light switch and the brake lights still don't work. Checked continuity in old and new brake light switches, both are good.

#1 15amp fuse is good, put a new fuse in there anyway, no lights.

Tested for power at the #1 fuse, get 12.5v with the pedal pushed in.

There are 3 wires that come out of the #1 fuse location, green w/red stripe, a yellow, and a red w/white stripe (hazards?).

Do the wires for the brake/turn/taillights run down the drivers side to the back of the truck?

On the drivers side I found a brown plug with 5 wires (green w/yellow stripe, blk. w/purple stripe, blk. w/blue stripe, black, and a brownish with blue stripe.)
Does this go to the brake/turn/taillights lights?

I'm stuck as far as what to check next...

If your turn signals work, then the wiring from the turn signal switch to the rear lights is ok(same wires for the turn signals and brake lights).Check for power at the brake light switch plug,if you have power to the switch, but not out of the switch, check for a broken wire at the brake light switch plug.If you have power coming out of the brake light switch, then check for power at the turn signal switch plug at the steering column,if you have power at the turn signal plug, then the switch is probably faulty. If you don't have power to the turn signal switch, then you have a wiring problem from the brake light switch to the turn signal switch plug. Also get a Haynes manual to help in future diagnostics and repairs.
