Does anyone know of a vendor that sells the gasket that goes between the rear aluminum bearing retainer and the case body individually?

If not, does this gasket control any sort of case endplay?

Case is out of a 79 Bronco.

It's just a gasket, has no affect on end play. Like Rob said, make your own or just use RTV without the gasket

Sheet of gasket material is $5, if it happens to be a $3 gasket it isn't worth it.

And my intentions were that if it didn't control any sort of endplay I was going to pull the old gasket, brake clean it, and then permatex it all back together.

just use gasket sealer...make sure the areas are really clean and free of oil and dont refill the case until the sealer has had time to set.
