Yeah I know,Its a chevy :banghead.I have a question that isnt really bronco related.Its about my 91 camaro witha 305 tbi.This morning I tried starting it up and all it did was crank over.Just yesterday,it was running PERFECT.NO SPARK OR FUEL....Could it be the ECM or the ignition module?All and any help is greatly appreciated. Im dazed and :confused:

305 TBI, that's not an LT1 is it? No, I don't think soo...or maybe it is.

Either way, check out some Camaro forums like CamaroZ28.com or LT1Tech.com. Those guys will probably help you.

first check the fuses to the comp.
then check for lose wires.

the key does not have a chip

yes BB the 305 is a tbi but not a LT1

tbi= throttle body injection

LT1 is the dream motor of a camaro owner. it is all aluminum.

if none of the first two is the problem sounds like a wire might have crossed and fried the comp. u didn't touch it since u turned it off yesterday. cause the static from your hand will be enough to fry the comp. in the camaro.

also check for a reset switch i am not sure if your have it. u will have to ask someone with that model of a camaro.

Bronco Babe:Its a LO3 engine.LT1s are in the newer camaros.93 and up.I posted up around the camaro boards and no one seems to help me out :banghead

Yeah it does have a chip in the key.Do you know how i can reset it or fix it before i buy a new ECM?

Cody -I didnt touch anything.It was running perfect yesterday and when I go to start her up,she just cranks over.I didnt even touch the ECM or anything near it.
As for a new engine,thats once I dont have my truck,speed boat and sandrail for projects.I have a guy selling me a corvette engine complete with harness and brain for 1K.So many projects,so lil funds.:twak

If the problem is the theft system,watch the theft light on the dash,i think it should come on when you turn the key to on.But i don't remember if it should stay on or flash.I can check at work tomorrow.The most common problem are the 2 wire breaking going into the lock cylinder,inside the column.The chip in the key is a resistor that lowers the voltage in that circuit to what the computer wants to see in order for it to start.

Ahhh i see,but wouldnt it give some sort of sign while i was driving?for example all the bumps and holes in the road?Not it just sitting there to short out...I'll go check but the only thing that comes on is the SIR,and i think thats for the air bags.No VATS on the dash comes on.

when you say no fuel. no pressure at the rail, or the injecters arent firing?
do you have power at the injecters?
are your injecters recieving the ground from the ECM?
is your crank sensor/ignition pickup providing a RPM signal?

Thanks to all that helped me out.My bro and I (ok mostly my bro) trouble shooted the problems and then browsed the web...I just replaced the control module and WAA LAA....I have spark and fuel and a smooth running 305 with the sound of flowmasters to my ear...AWWW I AM THE HAPPIEST MAN ALIVE. :beer :beer :beer :beer :beer
