I have seen this happen before...with a GT. They fought that guy tooth and nail and I'm pretty sure he still has it. I just think it is cool when the company makes a mistake and the customer is able to come out on top.

It happened with what was supposedly the very first 1965 Mustang that was produced. The way I read the story it was on a promotional trip around the country. It was officially "not for sale" but an airline pilot managed to purchase it ... and keep it!

Iirc the very first 64.5 mustang was sold a couple days prior to the launch to a woman. It was light blue and i believe down in FL or similar.

Can't argue with that, but I have four Mustangs of my own. They are lots of fun, but are a money pit - continuously changing and updating them.

Don't know if this was meant for me, but I don't have a Bronco II. However, I do enjoy the two Bronco's that I have! The '82 XLT Lariat was purchased as soon as it was released from the "Leasing" program. I don't know if that makes me the original owner or not, but I have all of the original paper work and the papers say that Ford Motor Company was the owner while it was in the Leasing Program. This one will stay as original as possible for as long as possible. I did change out the 302 for a modified 351w to better enable it to pull a trailer with a Mustang on it before purchasing the '89. The '89 XLT was purchased as a "work truck" and gets used to the tune of 800 to 1,000 miles per week - just as a means to "get me there". It has been "slightly" modified to be a mobile office.

BigBlue 94 - I read an article that mentions the car you are referring to. The car I am referring to is a pre-production car that was sold to a Canadian Airline Pilot named Stanley Tucker prior to the official going on sale date. No telling how many of these stories abound.

The new front ends look so good. Ive got an 18 with the 5.0 as a daily but id love to have the front end off the new trucks
