Thats a nice little camper. My parents have an old school early 80s pop up. I thought about fixing up and using, but the mildew in it really got to my wife. Can't have her dieing on camping trips.. We thought about a new one. But for 5 grand more we got a camper triple the size :)

I considered a couple that where posted on Craigs list two summers ago. Tempting, but small and you'd tear it up wheeling.

They'd be great for a single guy or couple who don't do the harder trails. I wouldn't put my kid out in a tent, no way, not unless I was too.

We went the pop-up camper direction, it still needs some work, a little protection for the corners and then I'll take it to some cool out of the way places.

Lifted it and went with bigger wheels:

I doubt that he meant drag it through the roughest trails he can find.

You haven't seen how he drives!

Hey now. I am sure you will drag yours much farther up the trail than I will. A lot of that might be size and rig capibility. Mine is high enough that I do not need to worry about most forest roads but way to BIG for any trails. I thought about doing what you did Chris but my wife is a little picky about where she sleeps.

I had to make a double step to be able to get into it. I bet yours is more comfortable and I like the pop-out! This one is very basic but beats the hell out of tent camping. As I have gotten older, some comfort and conveniences are very nice.

Nothing worse then waking up a 7am in a wet dewy damp cold tent.A cold trailer is much better!lol
I do miss those well out of the way camp sites that you just can't drag a trailer into.
