just recently my bronco has developed a very annoying electrical issue. when i go to turn the engine over something "disables" my electrical system; the entire electrical fails no blown fuses or anything. i checked the battery and it has proper voltage and amperage. if i disconnect the battery and reconnect it will sometimes start right up. my 94 f-150 has done this twice also. anyone have a clue for this sporatic problem?

loose ground?
loose/corroded battery cable?
broken battery terminal (inside battery)?
Also check the terminal at the starter relay and see if it's clean and tight.
