hey everyone!

k got a question...i have a 89 bronco w/ electric door locks. heres whats going on with the locks

sitting in drivers seat...i press the lock/unlock button the drivers side door will lock and unlock...the passanger side will not

sitting in passangers seat...i press the lock/unlock button nothing happens on either door lock

the window button stillworks on both sides.

what could be causing this? its kinda a pain to reach all the way over to unlock or lock the passangers door.

Sounds like the passenger lock motor is bad AND the driver's switch is bad, too. (Yeah, I know the driver's switch works...) Try swapping the switches and post the results.

BTW When you say "the drivers side door will lock and unlock...the passanger side will not", does that mean that the passenger door doesn't make ANY sound, like the lock motor TRYING to turn?

Has it worked since you got it?

Mine was doing essentially the same thing, and when I took it apart, there was no lock motor on the driver's side.

ok i got the new accuator/motor and that solved the problem but i need a new switch for the passanger side also. steve u were right on the money! thanks for the help!!!!!!!!!!!!! we need to hit some trails sometime
