Okay, so im in the middle of installing the rough country 2.5" lift and aside from grinding off the rivets its gone pretty smooth.

Im at the point now where I'm hanging the passenger side AXLE pivot Bracket and getting ready to drill the cross member, my question is this.

It says ensure the new pivot bushing hole is directly below the old hole in the lift kit instructions. I did this by taking a straight edge with a level and moving the bracket until both holes lined up and it was level with the ground. Is this correct? When i do this it makes the bracket look like its swung out to the driver side.

It doesn't need to be exact per se......but yes it should be in line with the old pivot hole.

I was thinking of getting the 2.5 inch lift for my 87 Bronco...

A level isnt going to do you any good unless your Bronco is perfectly level. Get it as close as you can.
