The links dont work, but if you copy and paste it into your browser they show up.

Not as easy to see, but still important.

Please pass the pictures on. Sometimes in our everyday lives we tend to forget what's going on elsewhere in the world and that the brave men and women of the service are just like you and I. They have family and friends back home who love them very much and are praying for their safe return.

When you receive this, please stop for a moment and say a prayer for our troops (land, air, and sea) in Afghanistan, Kuwait, Iraq, and around the world. There is nothing attached....... This can be very powerful......Just send this to people in your address book. Do not stop the wheel, please....
Of all the gifts you could give the US Military, Prayer is the very best one.....

Actually... if you click the link and it opens a new browser with the same addy in the address bar, just click the "Go" or whatever similar button you have to initiate a reload.
Doesn't make too much sense but it worked for me. :shrug

Mixed feeling about this one... probably won't last long out here and end up in the Political arena. However... thanks for sharing. All angles are important to see. :thumbup

It's set up to prevent hot links (a real shame). But you can copy and paste into a new browser window and it works fine. Well worth the effort.

Going Political..Maybe Time To Move

I would like to say first I support our troops and would like nothing better than thier safe return home.

As far as the pics ,yes there are some great ones here, but these three , well you deside:

This woman looks very happy. She must carry markers and paper with her at all times..........just in case someone wants to take her picture.

Yep ,and then there is this little girl. She must have made this sign at home and carried it around untill she saw a photographer.

What happen here ? The guy taking the picture could not wait till the "kid"made the sign? And since when are markers standard military issue.

What I'm saying is pictures can paint the canvas in many ways.I assure you for every picture you can find like these,I can find ten pictures of hurt ,mamed, and dead Americans and Iraqies.I know our troops do a lot of good ,considering what they have been throwen into and the dangers they face on a daily basis.I just don't like when someone tries to put a good face on this war.We should not be in the middle of this shit storm !

what the hell man. someone posts something about the good things going on over there and you have to shit all over it? have you been there? i have and do you know how disheartening it is to reopen 5 schools and 10 mosques only to not see it on the news anywhere? i will tell you from first hand experience. i would say around 85-90 percent of the people love what we did for them. it is the other groupd oid terrorists and pro saddam fundamentilists that do not want us over there. that is all. When the men that are the head of there families are trying to give you there weekly wages to pay you for what you have done. that is the thanks right there.

personally i think you could have left your comments out of this thread and just said nice pics. but hey what do i know?

...and that's just exactly why pics like these need to be seen.

In the news media, "...if it bleeds, it leads...", and to hell with smiling women and kids because their pictures don't sell copy.

F#@&in' Liberal press !

It's bad enough we don't get the whole story, they don't even tell the other side of the story.

These people are hanging by the same thread that the Cambodians were in 75', when we were forced to pull out of an unpopular war, by peace-nics.

The press rarely speaks of, and didn't report the millions of innocent people killed after we pulled out.

Thank goodness the Iraqis have oil, so we may not be forced to abandon them by the NIMBYs (even they need gas for their imported cars).

Nice posts

These kids happy about some school supplies that our troop gave them. BTW, many of the "supplies" were sent there by the troops' families because the troops asked for them. If you want to help out, check out www.operationiraqichildren.org

This photo taken by a troop himself, not a propaganda pic.

Looks like the Iraqi's really hate us being there right?

Yep, they really hate us.

Yes Dirt, we Yanks, Canadians, Brits, et. al., are an evil people.........:twak

Now I just wonder how many of those smilling kids would have wound up in mass graves if we'd left Saddam alone......huh? And a lot of those schools and clinics and hospitals were in outlying areas unaffected by any destruction by war. Over the years they were just abandoned, or left to deteriorate, most were understaffed and with inadequate equipment and supplies. Some were even destroyed by Saddam. And never mind the Oil-for-Food corruption of Saddam so he could build his palaces.

Yes, we've been real bad.

Oh Marv, you might well have just stopped at yanks and brits . The other forces are there for decoration . So Bush can use the word "coalition".
Maybe a lot would have wound up in mass graves . I agree .But why was Iraq so important at that time .Why was it we had to go it alonefor the most part ? There are thousands of kids dying everyday from starvation and war in Africa..............why are we not there? No Marv , you will never get me to belive the reason we are there is for humanitarian reasons.........it's for the oil.
Oil for food was a big mistake. That was like leaving the rat in charge of the cheese factory.
