Get rid of the hood scoop and with the right suspension I think it might be in the running for a fun pre runner.

I think some one had to many projects sitting around and said Fk it lets combine them to make the best of both in one LOL.

Is it normal to put RTV around the exhaust manifold like was done with those?

Regular rtv? No. I know some people will use some of the high temp copper stuff. I have no idea what they used on these heads though. I've only used gaskets myself.

No, I don't but I appreciate the thought. I have been planning to use an old ATV winch I have (if I can pair it with a working control box from another) and set that up in my pole barn, where I can lift it high enough to be completely out of the way, while remaining stored inside. The winds come across my mountain plains too hard to store it outside on anything but some blocks on the ground and then I'm sure some little critter would try and make a home out of it. 😆

Definitely a sweet little deal though. Can't beat that price for the metal alone, these days. If anyone comes to get it, let me know. I've got a spare hand crank for a spool, I removed from my flatbed hoist.

When we ran our Late model at our local short track the orange Hi temp rtv like what you see there is all we used for sealing the header to the head. We tried every gasket known to man and the RTV was the only thing that would last for any length of time.

I have a tube of the high temp copper rtv, which was going to be my backup to the remflex gaskets I used on the 460 in my Bronco. A lot of people on the 460ford forum suggested it vs using gaskets. Sanderson Headers actually says their headers are designed to be used with just some high temp rtv. I'm 100% sure that's only if you have good flanges that start straight and stay straight. I imagine cheap headers with a thin flange might end up leaking anyway if they warp.

Here's a snip from their webpage.

$600 for an '88 F250 w/ 5.8L and ZF5, rolled but supposedly runs and drives. The ad doesn't state it, but it looks to be 4x4, so well worth the purchase price for anyone looking for ZF5 swap components. I'm fairly tempted myself, for a backup, but don't really want to take on transporting and disposing of it right now.

Too bad it wasn't a 7.5L, I'd be packing up for a trip.

Big block engines/ZF5's, and 300's regardless of transmission, show up fairly frequently here. It's the small block ZF5's that are rare. Of course, finding a full donor/parts vehicle is a different matter.

It's mostly 7.3 zf5s here with the occasional sbf zf5.

Speaking of 7.3's, here's a '95 Centurion for sale:

^ See, the big block ZF5's pop up all the time in the NW. :) (For anyone unsure which is which, the easy way to tell is the big blocks have an external slave cylinder, while the small blocks have it internal to the bellhousing. Also, smallblocks will have "TA" at the end of the part #. That one is "LA".)

Here's a couple tire+wheel packages, if anyone's looking for 33x12.5's. The second one doesn't specify bolt pattern, though, so that would need to be verified.

Looks like 5x5.5 to me. The center bore goes right up to the edge of the lug holes and every time I see that they are 5x5.5.

Smaller patterns, like 5x4.5, have more meat between the center bore and the lug holes.

@BikerPepe` You need this? If I was closer I'd already have the trailer hooked up to go get it! :D It looks like it could be repaired and modified for Bronco use pretty easily.

That looks like a great little project for people wanting to do removals & installations of the topper.
