Any advantages of POR-15 over rust bullet?
Advantages Of POR-15,

Availiable in five different colors.
Many topcoat options to choose from Including primers to apply any type of paint over it
Self Leveling.
Smooth Finish

Advantages Of Rust Bullet,

One STEP process
Black Topcoat available
Ceramic Finish

Disadvantages

Both uv sensitive
Needs to be topcoated if in direct UV rays

We sold POR-15 as a dealer to start with then switched to Rust Bullet (They offered us national distributor position) Then for 11 months and some odd number of days we sold Rust Bullet. Then switched back to POR-15 to become a national distributor for five states, Now we have 9 states.

POR15 is the cats ass. That hardnose paint is some tough shit. Its a pain in the ass putting it on with all the work needed, but the end result is very much worth it
Can rust bullet be applied to a piece of thin sheet metal and be bent in half without cracking/peeling? ( I saw at a display someone doing that to por 15, paint was fine after the metal being bent)

What will stand up better to rock chips? Rust bullet or por 15?
You should get vendor status here and start sellin us stuff at killer prices.

Welcome to FSB.
Chris has become a vendor but is waiting Joes approval to become official.

Yes it will pass the same flexability as any moisture cured urethane in this class.

Again when applied equally they both have the same durability. Although no definitive tests have been preformed.POR-15 however has a longer track record/History.
thank you.
You say both are UV sensitive yet rust bullet states that they offer excellent UV resistance with no topcoat. So no prep work two coats and your done. Sounds easier than POR-15

UV RESISTANCE.

POR-15 is UV resistant as well then.
The UV rays will not effect the durability or the strength but in time will eventually fade out the color.

I will not deny that the Rust Bullet is Easier to apply (less steps/prep).

Thats true, but think about the long term and decide what you want. I wouldn't let the hassle of applying it make my decision for me.
