As we all know, the stock tanks hang entirely too low on the full size bronco. While looking for a jackpoint under my '89 f150 today I had (what i think) is a good idea... Can i swap the gas tank from the f150 into the bronco and vise-versa? The tank from the f150 is entirely behind the rear axle (no saddle tanks) but it doesn't drop below the framerails like the bko tank does. Granted the f150 tank is only 16 gallons, but it's also half the height. And since both trucks are EFI shouldn't it pretty much be a "plug and play" application?

Here's some pics of what i'm rambling on about

16 gallons with the milage that a Bronco gets? ... not even an option unless it is a trailer queen :p
I donno...i'd rather have a complete 16 gal tank than a 32 gal with a stump sticking through it

yeah what he said for 78-79s at least. you may be able to get one in your year. it may not be a perfect fit, but i bet it wont hang down as much as your stock one does.
