I guess I can squeeze some pic's of the little guy in here. :thumbup

This is one of the few pic's I have of it before it was done. I had the frames stacked and the 2.5 ton toploader Rockwell axles mounted under it. But it was to steep of a angle for the drivelines, so I had to pull the married 4 speed transmission and t-case out and put a 2 wheel drive tranny and divorced t-case in to step it down. If ever I get the 460 Merlin block done and ready to install, I think I am going to put a automatic in it. The "granny low" four speed is just to slow on the shifts.
:shrug

This is the end results. Dark Blue base color with mini flake and Mirage on the center strip ( changes colors as you go by ) body paint. Frames are Grabber Green, and suspension is Grabber Yellow. 20" of total lift, on top of the axles and tires (45" x12" on 20" wheels)
:beer

Here it is pulling a stuck friend (1966 4x4 international P/U) out of the swamp. :histerica

I gave him a set of 33"x12.50 tires after the second time of pulling him out of the same hole. Those skinny 31s were not getting the job done.
:drinkbud

I had to play a little while I was there. The dent in the top was from a earlier trip into the snowy hills and I laid it on its side! (Too much speed + snow that had thawed then re-froze into ice + down hill corner = OH $H!T)
:shrug :duh :banghead :wacko :toothless

One of these days I want to get my 55" x 24" implement tires on it also.
The 45" military tires are starting to get a little thin on tread.
(Now if my brother would just get that little ranger 4x4 out of the way I would go home)
:slap :histerica

2.5, i said it before, i'll say it again, nice truck.

nate are you sure they were humvee tires? are they 40x20? i didnt think humvees ran those. i know the bigger trucks run them. thats what Jopes is running and as soon as i can afford some 20s i will be sporting them too. with spinners i hope :wacko

Thanks guys. It was fun to build it, and even more fun to play with it. But one thing I haven't figured out is why it doesn't get as good of MPG's as it did when it was stock ( ya think its got a leak somewhere? )

it could be, i just bought it last st. patty's day. 1500. the guy i bought it from lived way out the end of Abernathy Creek Rd.

i was wheelin at Dibblee Point beach in Rainier WA, just west of the Lewis and Clark bridge that connects Longview with Ranier. the one where you see the "city" in the background is the port of longview. its also the same scenery seen in the movie "men of honor" as that is where they did some on location filming. (the parts where he was in divers training)

anyways, i know where onalaska is (kinda) never been there before though.

nothing you can see really. got a tach added. rock lights wired. i think i am going to gut the heater - a/c stuff to clean up the engine compartment. put in an aftermarket heater or a rear van or suburban heater. looks like its becoming more of a trail rig thats street legal

Well 2-1/2tonbronco went and had a little fun at the mudbogs this Sunday.

This was a poser shot with one of the guys that put on the event.

just another poser shot

Here he is makin a full pass through the pit. all I can say is it was long, deep, and nasty.

We had a great time and there were plenty of cool rides to look at, and watch run the pits. :thumbup
