Talk about perfect picture timing. Is he in the middle of jumping off or is he on the rear brake? I think by the time his tire touched down that it would be to far back to save. I guess if he still has some speed he might clear to the top and be able to bite the brake hard enough to save it. As always, awesome old pic @cobrajoe

A rear engine dragster in what looks like the '50s, long before Don Garlitts made his first one. I wonder why the "cheater" slicks (notice the one circumferential groove, NHRA required that in some 60's stock classes) The final drive was probably a chain too. Good Picture!

That is too cool! I had no Idea that they ran chain drives. The bottom pic looks expensive for the times. The tripple chain makes sense, but what the hell kinda chain is that single on the second pic? I don't know much chain history, I have run 530 EK X-ring chain on all of my motorcycles because of how tough that chain is and I don't think I would trust it to a SC SBC launching hard on boost. How good was chain in the early 60's and what was the good chain?

Are the superchargers all ran off the one belt/chain up front? What is the car that isn't a mustang? Galaxy?
