Random but sad, In Tillamook a 66 year old Hillsboro Oregon man put an arrow in this elk Saturday and couldn’t locate it before dark, the private property owner and him returned Sunday morning where he located it put a second arrow into the elk , the elk then charged him and killed him. OSP donates the elk to the Tillamook county jail to be served to inmates.

just cant freakin win. not even 3 months ago i replace the 302 in my F250 because the distributor gear roll pin sheared. the engine ran with no oil pressure for a couple miles, spun a bearing and seized up

put in a junkyard 302, put in a HD coiled roll pin to prevent the issue. doing some offroading tonight and now the oil pump shaft snapped and lost oil pressure again. because i had to get to the road for AAA, i have to drive it some with no pressure plus however long it didnt have pressure before i noticed guage read none. so now the engine is probably needing to a new crankshaft n bearings. oh, and this is a hardened pump shaft

spent the weekend pulling oil pan in my F250 to replace oil pump and inspect the crank bearings. while doable, it is very not fun to do, especially when it rains both days. while the bearings were all very worn it luckily did not spin any rod bearing and the crank was ok. so i put new bearings in it and got it back running.

the engine crossmember really does make it hard. really fought to get oil pan out but i did manage to

the bearings were all to the copper layer and many were down to the steel layer. very trashed. but did not spin a rod bearing at least

cause of the issue was oil pump jamming up which caused the shaft to break. small peice of metal sucked up was the cause. took pump appart to find the cause but when i drained the oil out, the internals fell out so i did not see the metal piece. but it did leave a small gouge. it does not take much to size these pumps up

Did Dutch Bros recycling with the dodge trailer and decided to leave the rusted beat up bed there

Quick flip on its side and a little “hot” wrench work left me a rusted 76 3/4 ton chassis

A little black paint. And voila then I build a flatbed for it.
