I have a 84 bronco and the drivers side door will eventually shut tight if you slam it enough times. The passenger just latches and will not shut tight and rattles all the dam time. Is there something that would cause both doors to have the same problem? If it is some kind of adjustment, can someone show diagrams and or the proper way to go about adjusting latches, catches and the like. Thanks!!

The door & tailgate strikers are adjustable with a #50 Torx socket IIRC. The strikers when loosened will rotate so you can get the correct door closure by moving it in or out for tightness and each striker has a plastic collar of their own, replacements can be found in the "Help" section of most auto parts chains etc. for Around $4-5.00 -

The strikers will come out but be carefull not to let the female thread part drop down insdie, PITA to get at. :banghead

Or it could be rotting out around the hinges in the A pillar and letting the doors sag. My old '89 did this, PITA!
