Project '84 is going well thanks to you guys, Haynes manual, beer, & band-aids.

Today went through inspection passed emission portion but failed for "sharp body edges"

I have rust holes over wheel wells and a tad in bottom corner of the door jamb.

What's cheapest way to patch and smooth these holes? First thought was fender flares but @ $200+ , I have to find another route.

Thanks again

no they cut the wheel well. then go to a truck shop. and they sell semi and bus wheel flares. it is chreap and sold by the foot. like less than 5 bucks per foot.

If you want really cheap, you could do what i did just as a quick fix, I ground down the rough parts and filled the holes with foam filler, let dry and cut it to shape with a razor blade and sanded, then coated with primer. It has helped to slow down the rust too.

Just a suggestion

I like the semi flare idea, however I've called a few truck stops today and they don't sell the flares. Anyone know where I can find them near NJ ?
