When i ordered a new oilpan for my 460 to put in the bronco, it had the rear sump so i had a 4wd pump to put on it and i had to take a main bolt out in order for the pickup tube to go, but i was wondering if i have to screw a nut on it to keep it from bending or falling down because it had threads on the bottom of the bolt where the pickup tube slides on. I screwed a nut on it just in case amd i was wondering if i should take it off or leave the nut to hold it up?

leave the nut on. it helps the pickup stay in place.

Do you think i would need a new oilpan gasket? I changed oilpans and kept the other one on there. Would it still be good? The engine has been rebuilt and never had oil in it or anything
