I already have the 10.25 for the rear. I believe its out of a '91 so i know its short pinion. What all do i need to convert to long pinion?

I plan to run aprox 9" of lift. I'm planning to go with a 6" lift spring and a shackle flip. Will i need to run a shim block for pinion angle?

I plan on Cage Radius arms for the D60. Any advice for these? They have those weld on brackets...How do i know where to weld them on?

With the 9" lift and the one ton axles what will be the strongest option for drive shafts?

the new set of long pinion gears and a matching pinion yoke for a long pinion axle

http://broncograveyard.com/bronco/c-228_10_25__rear.htm(nearly at the bottom... and there are cheaper places to find these... i got lucky with one on ebay for $20... you welding or putting a detroit in when you redo the gears and seals?

or take off the old spring perches and weld new ones on at the correct angle... set up your shackle angle where you want it first then figure out what kind of correction you need to make after that

1) I have'nt messed with a pre 93 sterling that much so I cant say. I would think the parts for a long pinion axle would swap over though.
2) Most likely you will need something to correct you're pinion angle. Wether it be adding shims or reclocking you're spring perches its up to you.
3) Cage will have specs and dimensions for mounting.
4) Custom shafts with 1410 ujoints.

I'm gona go with a detroit and most likely 5.38 gears
I'd rather just use shims. Less work...

I've thought about it and my question about those is if they will work at the angle that my shaft will be at (gotta figure in full suspension movement)

i'm runnin 1350 front/rear all stock parts a lot cheaper than the 1410 and they have more angle than the big boy. just get spicer stuff and you should'nt have any problem.
Thats what i was leaning towards but I'm looking for others thoughts.
Theres a 1350 yoke made for the NP205 right? Will i need a CV in it? Do they make a CV for the 1350? I recall reading somewhere that they don't?

yes they make a 1350 yoke for the 205, spicer also has a 1410 yoke for the 205. the 1410 yoke can be found on a 89-93 dodge 4x4 cummins. if you do want the 1410 joints go find a used drive shaft off a wrecked superduty. i picked one up off a 06 for $50! and than the yoke for the t case was around $75. and flange style yoke for the axle was $20 used. i just welded up my own rear shaft for now.. i have enough flex in my driveshaft with the 1410. but i have a longer wheelbase so the joint at the tcase is the one you will have to worry about..

also when you put in the new gears you will have to upgrade to the 92 and up yoke. most aftermarket gearsets are for the long pinion.

The only thing I'm worried about with drive shafts is them binding at the angle that they will be at...

And if i recall they dont even make gear sets for the short pinion?

i have the same amount of lift with around 10' pinion angle and a full droop there's no binding. but i'm runnin a 14 bolt so i dont know differnce from the sterlling.the 1330 & 1350 are the same size across but the cap bigger. i work in a machine shop so i reemed the cv nuckle out to size and cut a deeper c-clip slot. i cut the centerin joint in a mill to fit the caps of the 1350 and used a inside snapring to hold it in. i'm runnin 5.38's with 44's
