Hit Uwharrie yesterday with Dave (Dave's Bronc 90), Mark (Mpichon), and another friend in his 4runner. Dave got into a nasty spot on Rocky Mountain Loop, but I was too busy spotting to get pics. Let's just say it got a little hairy, so much so that he actually thought he could stop a possible flop by sticking his arm out the door. :toothless Anyway, here's the pics. Seems to be more posing stuff than actually wheeling, but I promise, we did actually wheel. All the pics are here: http://www.supermotors.net/vehicles/registry/2805/65516

And, a bronco makeout session.

Very nice pics guys. So whats the story about the almost flop.

Johnski is that new body damage I see on the driver side rear quarter.

Dave sounds like it's time to start working on that cage.

Dave had his rig sitting almost vertical and with a little wheel spin he started to scoot to the left. His sliders would've caught him against a rock and prevented a real flop, but Dave decided to throw his arm out anyway, just to be sure. We all yelled at him for that one. And, I 2nd that motion for a cage.

As for my body damage, I got that from a tree back in April during a Uwharrie run that was pure slop. Pretty sure I massaged that area again yesterday.

Yeah, well, um, I lost it in the sun, and...er...I thought I'd just reach out and evaluate the texture of the rock next to me, you know, to see if I thought I could get good traction on it. Yeah that's it...traction. Damn it.:brownbag

Dave You may be a strong guy, but you aren't superman. You know better then to try and hold a 6000+ pound bronco from tring to laydown on you.

Now its time to take your punishment :twak

And one for John for ratting on you :twak

Broncolounger a rolledup Off-Road magazine will teach him not to do that kinda thing again. Just bap him good and hard on the nose.

Or I can drive out and use my Baseball bat and give him a few lumps on the head? Thought I would offer to help out alittle.

Dave you should be ashamed of getting your Exspecting wife all worked up and worried.

LOL, you can say that again. I used to be able to get over that spot with 36's, the TTB, and a shit load of skinny pedal. This year it looks like it was hit by a bomb. I climbed right up on it several times, but then got hung each time. I just couldn't break over it. I doubt that anyone could do it without at least 42's today.:shrug The only reason I was even willing to try it was my wheel base; there was a nice built CJ up there with us with the same axles I'm running, D60/10.25, w/ARB's front and rear. After he saw me try it he wouldn't even nose up to it because he thought his shorter wheel base would make him go end over.

edit: I also noticed today that my rear leafs are officially done. They have been flat for some time now, with zero upward bow. I just noticed that they're now both actually slightly bent backwards.:cry Who has good prices on stock leaf packs?
