How do you tell if the trans mount is bad?? I've looked at it and there is not obvious breaks or cracks, is there a functional way to determine if the mount is bad??

I'm getting some rough shifts, and this is pretty much the last thing left on my checklist. (Replaced: VSS/checked conection & wires, MLPS, Filter & Fluid)

It's a 95' E4OD, btw

help would be great, Thanks!

Yeah it seems to shift reasonably well when just doing some around town driving, the really bad shifts are when i'm on the highway or when i punch it (downshift is fine butwhen it shifts back up again it bangs pretty bad).

Also shifts pretty hard in to reverse

What style mount does it have? is it the bonded rubber one or the fluid filled style?

If it's bonded rubber, jack the t-case up and see if the mount wants to debond.

If it's fluid filled look at the top of the fluid "pouch". if it's domed it's good, if it's dished it's bad.
