I bought a Tuff Country lift kit w/extended radius arms, i was working on it today and i could not figure out how you take the old ones off/put the new ones on. I removed the top nut on the coil spring retainer and got to the second nut, the directons said it should be a bolt that goes all the way through the traction beam, but it is not, i removed a bolt from the bottem of the traction beam that was independant of th top one. I do not see how you are supposed to get the old arm off and put a new one on, it says it will just slide on, but there is about 2" of bolt sticking up that i have to get the arm off of, and then put the new one back on. Do you have to take the hub, rotor and spindle off and push that bolt down? or is there any easyer way. Sorry if this didnt make much sence, im not good at explaining this stuff. Thanks

That bolt on the top of the housing must come out but you do not need to take the rotor and all that crap off. I can't remember exactly but I remember it being very tough to get loose. Take pics if you can to help us out a little more.

You need a deep socket. The bolt is a nut/bolt combo so you the nut you see will unscrew the bolt when you get a socket on it. Like these guys try some heat and some penetrating oil and you should be able to get it off.

When you say rusty, do you mean like this?

I had to take a grinder to them after a while as they were NOT coming out

The torch is going to be the best friend you will have in getting the rust to break free

I had to cut it off and then drill into it to get the remaining pieces of the stud out ... pain in the azz for sure
