I'm lookin' at some DVDs on Amazon and noticed - (P&S Ws Sen) - after the title. What does that mean? I noticed they carry several editions of some movies the (P&S Ws Sen) seem to be the only ones they carry new, the other editions link you to someone else that has them for sale.

So what gives?

Pan and scan means they cut out part of the original image to fit it on a typical TV. Widescreen is how most movies are typicaly shot.

Aaah, I see. So it's really no different than if you caught the movie being played on regular TV rather than a DVD.
