While I have the jacks out to fix the front, decided to verify rear gear

so it appears to be an open diff, spin one wheel opposite spins in opposite direction, no driveshaft movement.

so I put one wheel on the ground. Spinning the other tire I get right at about 1.75shaft revolutions per tire revolution. Accounting for half the rev going into the other side of the diff, this is a 3.55 gear then, right?

if so, my trans isn’t shifting into last gear, I shouldn’t be at 3k rpms at 55-60

Just an FYI, my rear diff also appeared to be an open diff but it only was that way because the clutch pack was very worn out. After rebuilding the clutch pack it acted like a limited slip/posi rear.

As for your trans issue we need more info to come to a conclusion.

Trans is a c6. I ran the numbers, I’m coming up with it running at a 1.35 trans gear ratio, which lines up pretty close to second gear in a c6. So yeah, I don’t think it’s going into 3rd.
